Samhain 2025

Presented in video format showing the creation process. As well as printed photograph of final piece.

Samhain Mandala” is an ephemeral piece presented through video documentation and a final photograph, capturing the ritual of creation of a sacred geometry altar in the symbol of the Flower of Life. This piece is composed of harvest elements including carnation flowers, salt, corn, pumpkins, black and kidney beans, squash, and handmade candles, each acting as a traditional symbol of abundance, transition, and remembrance, central to the Samhain season. The process is a key component of the art, guided by the shapes of brass sound bowls. Their vibrations align with the intention of creating this sacred space as a meditative, sonic ritual. This temporary arrangement harnesses the Flower of Life’s ancient geometry, a universal pattern of creation and interconnection. It honors the thinning of the ancestral veil, and connecting the shared human experience of the harvest and introspection within the autumn season.
